Do you go for the full on Daiya substitute, the fancy Miyoko spreads or do you not feel the need to substitute for cheese at all?
I really love the taste of those processed cheese substitutes, but man does Daiya do a number on my belly! Probably because it’s made with so much oil. I’ve recently fallen in love with the cheese sauce from the Forks Over Knives Cookbook. It’s essentially a sautéed onion, 1 red bell pepper, about a cup of nutritional yeast and some optional cashews, tahini, and salt blended until smooth. Sounds so strange but is so good!
