First of all, this cookbook does not exist because it’s particularly hard for vegans to eat enough protein. Protein is packed into many more foods beyond meat, and there is nothing to indicate that there is a crisis of low-protein in American, whatever your diet.
Having said that, if you are searching for meals that guarantee a protein punch, this is your cookbook. I particularly like it for breakfast – a meal at which I like to eat lots of protein to make it to lunch. Terry is a weight lifter, herself, so she seeks protein for building muscle, among other things.
In true Terry style, some of these recipes are a bit more complicated than some of you may be interested in. But, not all! And, there are such yummy recipes like the 5 Spice Chickpea Noodle Bowl and basically all of her smoothie bowls. There are also some baked goods in this book that will fill you up like a protein bar will – yum and phew.
