You know how people say –
Well you can eat vegan and still be super unhealthy.
It’s true!
You could eat pasta all the livelong day and REALLY love the fact that Oreos are vegan. (Yup, Oreos are vegan.)
But…
What if this is how you dip your toe in the world of “plant”-based eating? What if it is simply too scary to jump off into the deep end and start cooking with tofu or *gasp* seitan? What if you want to share some vegan food with your omnivore brethren and avoid them looking at you like you just fed them rabbit food?
I’m saying…
You may go through a phase when you discover all of the great vegan packaged goods in the grocery store and go to town. This is a delicious and potentially useful time in a new vegan’s life – junk and options! Enjoy discovering what go-to, ready-made snacks you can bring to a friend’s house for a party and log them in your mind so you know how to stock your pantry when out-of-town, very non-vegan guests roll through.
And, once you’ve consumed your umpteenth bag of vegan marshmallows, you might remember that you are a human and not a garbage disposal and chill out with that stuff – it’s probably not why you switched to a plant-based diet, right?
